• Identified evidence gaps and developed evidence generation strategies to evaluate hypothesis regarding Ca2+ signalling role in a necrosis subtype in a neurodegenerative disease model; this research lead to development of a recently-published theory regarding evolution of ageing.
• The accomplished projects evidence of independently developed hypotheses, executed research plan, effective problem-solving and prioritization resulted in 7 high impact publications (mostly first-authored).
• Developed excellent communication skills by working in a multidisciplinary team of 8 people (bench biologists and bioinformaticians) and established 2 fruitful collaborations: within UCL with Dr Yakimovich and with Dr Pincus from Washington University, USA
• Gained fluency with Python (model for evolution of ageing simulations) and R (wrote tools to analyse muscle contraction data).
