Delivering a 28-hour Project Management training in which we discuss key aspects of the PMI knowledge areas as well as best practices of the industry and from inside the company. Filled with specific examples and based on in-class exercises, I delivered this training in three Luxoft locations, across three different countries.
A 16-hour training aimed at the people willing to adopt Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) in their project or organization, as well as at those who want to compare their ways of working with industry best practices. The training is built on practical exercises, Scrum simulation, discussions and case studies illustrating the basic principles and practices of Agile development.
Managing approximately 40 engineers in one of the Infotainment Continental accounts. Main responsible for delivery of new features, bug-fixing by the development team, triage of local software defects as well as the results of the local pre-integration and testing team.
Responsibilities included but not limited to: - Overall responsibility for Delivery of Project team - Participating in SAFe events (PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo, Sprint Retrospective, PO Sync Meetings) - Planning and estimating for each Program Increment - Estimating the resources needed to achieve the project goal. - Assessing the severity of the bugs and features that need to be implemented. - Tracking the project deliverables and their progress - Regular sync with Development Scrum Masters and QA Manager - Acting as SAFe Product Owner for the Scrum Teams - Creating and proposing contingency plans in case we come up with difficult situations - Customer relationship Management - People Management (1:1, Performance Appraisals, Career Growth) - Performance Management through reports and analysis - Task Delegation - Team formation and development Working closely with the Luxoft Sales team and the Telecom Management team on new leads in order to attract new customers for the telecom LoB. Participating in requirements meetings, analyzing technical requests, proposing solutions. Coming up with the project plan in terms of technical aspects, engineering experience, cost and time needed for the required quality.
Communicating extensively and negotiating with the client in order to find ways to successfully fulfill both their expectations as well as ours. Release Prime for a series of projects in the Lenovo/IBM System Networking division. Planning, coordinating the team members, establishing the test environment, writing test-plans, allocating resources as well as team-working with the development team for bringing further quality to the testing process. Responsible for the test coverage and progress for a mixed nationalities team (China/USA/India/Romania).
Coordinating several Functional Teams in the Lenovo/IBM System Networking division, consisting of both manual and automation engineers. Consulted on overall Test Strategy, analyzing the Requirements in order to write the functional and non-functional Test Cases, assigning tasks to team members and keeping a day-to-day communication with the developers assigned to the feature as well as with the Project Manager located in Santa Clara. Also working "hands-on" with my colleagues in testing several features, especially in the L2 and L3 areas. Relocated to Santa Clara, California, responsible for designing and building complex topologies, containing equipment from multiple vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.). Had direct contact with problems coming from the field, co-working with the development team in order to solve as quickly as possible the "hot issues" coming from clients like Morgan Stanley, New York Stock Exchange, London Stock Exchange, eBay or Microsoft. Creating automated test-cases and integrating them in test-suites, intended for porting on other hardware platforms, using TCL scripting and iTest Fanfare software.
Testing the capabilities of network equipment in the form of "embedded switches" or "standalone switches", including but not limited to: STP, OSPF, BGP, RIPv2, NTP, platform features, etc. produced by Blade Network Technologies, now a Lenovo Company.
